The conference venue

This year's European edition of EECI will be held at De Stadsgehoorzaal theatre in the middle of historic Leiden. The amazing venue iself is located in the middle of the old city centre, close to public transport, bars and pubs alike.

De Stadsgehoorzaal theatre lies within walking disctance from Leiden Central Station. Local busses arrive right in front of its entrance. Plan your trip using public transport on this website.

How to get there

By plane
Coming by plane, you will most likely arrive at Amsterdam Schiphol International Airport, only 20 minutes away by train which arrives in Leiden at Leiden Central Station. Most international airlines arrive on this airport. Other airports nearby are Rotterdam / The Hague International Airport and a little further away, Eindhoven Airport.

By train
Leiden Central Station connects Leiden directly with the major Dutch cities (Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht and The Hague). When arriving with an international train at one of these stations, you can find trains directly to Leiden at all hours of the day. Trips can be planned online on the website of the Dutch Railway Company (NS).

By car
Leiden is easily reachable by car via freeways A4 (Amsterdam - Delft) and A44 (Amsterdam - The Hague). Coming from the east (Utrecht), highway N11 is your road of choice. Parking your car within the city centre can be expensive, so we advice the free car parks that lie around it.
